Venice, 6 February 2023. The flag-raising organised in Milan and Cortina by Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 officially marks the countdown to the 2026 Winter Games.

The President of the Veneto Region said: "Exactly three years remain before an event that will remain in the history of Veneto and the entire country, as already happened for the 1956 Olympics; it will be the Olympic Games focused on environment, people, citizens, athletes with and without disabilities”.
