Venice, 24 July 2024. The "Veneto Sport Festivals" project was presented, promoted by the Veneto Region in collaboration with the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) as part of the initiatives envisaged due to awarding of the title of European Region of Sport to Veneto.

The Regional Councillor for Sport Cristiano Corazzari said: "This is an initiative strongly desired and supported by the Veneto Region with planning by CONI Veneto, which will affect all our provinces. Thanks also to the collaboration of the Municipalities concerned and the local delegations of CONI, with the involvement of Federations and sports clubs, it will allow us to promote sport and make the wonderful Venetian sports activity further known in such an important year, when Veneto has been recognised as the European Region of Sport."

Each CONI provincial contingent will organise a day of sport in the main squares of the Veneto region, with the participation of important testimonials among Venetian sports champions.
