Venice, city for peace, in the full Olympic spirit. This is the message launched today with the 50 Caorline Regatta for Peace, the rowing challenge organised by the Municipality of Venice and the Veneto Region, in collaboration with Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 that started from the Giudecca Canal and docked at Campo della Salute. The event, which took place in conjunction with yesterday's United Nations Day for the promotion of peace through sport, aims to draw attention to a value, i.e. peace, which is more relevant today than ever.
In the presence of the Milano Cortina 2026 mascots, Tina and Milo, the race began at 11 am from San Basilio: first place went to “Club Nautico San Marco”, second place to "Gruppo Remiero Murano", third place to "Remiera Francescana", and finally fourth place to the crew of the "Voga Riviera del Brenta". Meanwhile, the crew of the "Remiera Querini" finished last in the race.
