The Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games will take place from 6 to 22 February 2026, and will cover an area of 22,000 square kilometres, within the regions of Veneto and Lombardy and the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano.
The Olympic programme includes 16 disciplines with competitions divided across 7 venues.
After the Opening Ceremony at the San Siro stadium, Milan will host ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating and short track competitions. Ski mountaineering and men's Alpine skiing events will take place in Bormio, freestyle skiing and snowboarding in Livigno, Nordic Combined in Val di Fiemme, cross-country skiing in Tesero, ski jumping in Predazzo, and biathlon competitions in Anterselva.
Finally, in Cortina, there will be bobsleighing, skeleton, luge, curling and women's downhill skiing.
The Closing Ceremony will take place at the Arena di Verona.
