The Cortina Cluster will host several events as part of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Given the increase in traffic expected for these events, extraordinary traffic regulation measures will be used during the Games, in coordination with the municipal, provincial, and regional authorities. The goals are to ensure that traffic flows quickly and safely, and to ensure balance between the needs of the Games and the needs of the area and the local community.
To ensure the safety of the event, its spectators, and coexistence with the daily life of the area, an extraordinary traffic regulation system will be introduced through temporary Limited Traffic Zones: the Olympic and Paralympic ZTLs.
All measures have been designed to minimise the impact on local mobility, with full respect for those who live and work in the areas involved, promoting the best possible coexistence between daily life and the event. The Olympic ZTLs will be active only on certain days and at specific times, with supervised access gates. Vehicles wishing to enter a ZTL must display a Vehicle Pass, while internal traffic and traffic exiting will always be allowed.
