VENETO IN ACTION

The International Relations - Veneto in Action Working Group is aimed at promoting the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games abroad, and at making the Veneto region known, reaching specific stakeholders and target groups at international level. 

The Working Group is responsible for organisation of activities such as: events, conferences and seminars, regional calls to involve local associations, as well as meetings with foreign representatives.

The main objectives of the Group include:

• Increase the visibility and prestige of the Region abroad
  The Veneto Region aims to achieve greater visibility and prestige abroad, increasing familiarity with the regional authority among foreign partners. The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games represent an opportunity to increase knowledge abroad of the Veneto Region and its rich tourist, cultural and economic offer, also advertising the potential of the territory.
   
• Promote human rights and the culture of peace, also through the Olympic Truce
  Events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games have become an important vehicle to give greater visibility to human rights and the culture of peace. A further objective of the International Relations - Veneto in Action Working Group is therefore the promotion of human rights, in particular by promoting and supporting the Olympic Truce agreement. To this end, the Veneto Region takes part in the construction of the Olympic Truce Programme, together with the other entities involved in Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026.
   
• Promote the territory of Belluno and its excellence at an international level
  The Veneto Region wants to give particular importance to the areas that host the Games, to ensure an inclusive approach and a long-term sustainable impact for the benefit of those who work and live in these places. The province of Belluno, with its unique territory and products, represents a Venetian excellence that will also be highlighted internationally.
